Hermione Granger was born into a stable, loving Muggle family living in London, England. Hermione is the only child of her parents, who are both dentists. Hermione first learned about the magical world of wizards and witches on her 11th birthday, when she received her admission letter from Hogwarts. Her parents supported her throughout her studies at Hogwarts. They also ventured into the magical world with Hermione and visited places like Diagon Alley.
We first meet Hermione Granger on the Hogwarts Express, where she gets acquainted with Harry and Ron. During the traditional Sorting ceremony conducted by the Sorting Hat, Hermione Granger was placed in the Gryffindor house. Ron Weasley and Harry Potter were also sorted into Gryffindor. Their friendship, however, began a bit later, specifically on Halloween night when Harry and Ron saved Hermione from a vicious mountain troll using the well-known Wingardium Leviosa spell. After this experience, they became inseparable friends (despite occasional arguments) until the end of the series.
Hermione later married Ron Weasley and had two children with him, Rose Weasley and Hugo Weasley. Hermione is also the aunt of James Potter, Albus Potter, Fred Weasley, Lily Potter, Roxanne Weasley, Lucy Weasley, Victoire Weasley, Dominique Weasley, Louis Weasley, and Molly Weasley. (The Weasleys were quite a large family!)
Hermione Granger's Characteristics
Hermione's main characteristics are certainly her love for study, enthusiasm, organization, nobility, and good heart (especially in relation to house-elves like Dobby). On the other hand, she can also be bossy and stubborn, which brought many complications during her 7 years at Hogwarts. Hermione is definitely the smartest student of her year. Due to Hermione's traits, many fans thought she should have been in Ravenclaw, known for selecting students with sharp minds. However, it is Hermione's bravery and courage that earned her a distinguished place in Gryffindor. Due to her reliability and determination, Minerva McGonagall entrusted her with a precious Time-Turner to manage all her classes.
