Ron Weasley’s Life
Ron Weasley, whose full name is Ronald Bilius Weasley, is an English wizard born on March 1, 1980, into the pure-blood Weasley family. His mother is Molly Weasley (née Prewett) and his father is Arthur Weasley. Ron has six siblings: five brothers and one sister. His siblings are Bill Weasley, Charlie Weasley, Percy Weasley, Fred Weasley, George Weasley, and Ginny Weasley. Ron is the sixth and youngest boy in the Weasley family. Ron and his family, including his siblings who still attend Hogwarts, live in a house on a hill known as The Burrow.
Ron started at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1991. On the platform 9¾ and later on the Hogwarts Express, he met his future best friend Harry Potter and his future wife Hermione Granger. Fans later nicknamed them the Golden Trio. The Sorting Hat placed Ron, like the rest of his family, into Gryffindor House.
During his studies at Hogwarts, Ron embarked on adventure after adventure alongside Harry and Hermione. In his first year, he helped protect the Philosopher's Stone from Lord Voldemort and played an unforgettable game of wizard's chess. In his second year, he helped save his sister Ginny from death and discovered the Chamber of Secrets with Harry. In the third installment, he rescued Harry's godfather Sirius Black, and in the fourth, the Goblet of Fire, he assisted Harry with the tasks. Ron was also a founding member of Dumbledore's Army, the student resistance led by Harry Potter. In his sixth year, he became a Prefect alongside Hermione and also played as a Keeper for the Gryffindor Quidditch team.
After the defeat of Lord Voldemort and the rescue of Hogwarts, Ron chose not to complete his education (like Harry Potter) and thus did not finish his 7th year. Only Hermione Granger completed school among the trio. Ron became an Auror alongside Harry, but after two years, he worked at his brother George's joke shop, Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. Ron later married Hermione and had two children with her, Rose Weasley and Hugo Granger-Weasley.
Ron Weasley’s Characteristics
Ron shares many characteristics with the other members of his family, which include his distinctive red hair and a multitude of freckles. He has blue eyes, a longer and wider nose, and is thin and tall. Physically, he resembles Percy and Bill more, while Fred, George, and Charlie are more robust. It's well known that Ron tends to blush deeply when embarrassed. Ron’s Patronus is a weasel.
Ron Weasley’s Traits
Ron has always been very loyal, friendly, and kind-hearted, as well as inquisitive, humorous, and brave. However, he can also be immature at times, which was often evident in his behavior towards Hermione, and sometimes insensitive. Hermione once remarked that Ron was as sensitive as a log. As the youngest son among five brothers, Ron often struggles with feelings of inferiority and jealousy. He naturally craves attention, which he doesn’t always receive, and often feels he lives in the shadow of someone else, whether it be his brothers or Harry Potter.
