The platform and the train
The entrance is hidden in the brick barrier between platforms nine and ten. To reach it you walk at the wall, briskly and without stopping — which is straightforward for a wizarding family and alarming for anyone from a Muggle one.
The Hogwarts Express leaves at eleven o’clock on 1 September. The scarlet engine is a real locomotive, and the station scenes were filmed at King’s Cross, where there is now a trolley set into a wall for photographs.
