Who made it, and the passwords
Four students made the map: Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs — Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, Sirius Black and James Potter. It shows every passage in the castle, including the seven secret ones, and the moving dot of every person inside.
To open it you say I solemnly swear that I am up to no good. To wipe it blank again you say Mischief managed. Those two lines are the reason this motif sells: they are the most quoted in the series after the spells.
What the collection covers
